Prepping for the Worst: Food
This month I began storing food. I ordered 12 cans of peas and 12 cans of corn from Amazon. Since, at this time, it will only feed me, 24 cans will last me a long time. One can alone will last me three or four meals.
I also purchased 6 cans of fruit that were on sale at the local grocery store, and will add to that as soon as I find a good buy on Amazon. Another thing I purchased in bulk from the local grocery was Ramen noodles. Not the healthiest food, but it is simple to make.
One thing I actually did before I started this blog was purchase oatmeal from Amazon in a 3 pack. One is in a Lock & Lock container on a shelf in my kitchen, and the other two are in Lock & Lock containers in the freezer. I also have dried fruit stored for use in the oatmeal, but can also be eaten separately.
